Bratts have been making ladders since 1895, supplying every major electricity company with non-conductive access equipment.
They are the only quality manufacturer of BS1129 Class 1 Kitemark Timber and BS EN131 Kitemark Glassfibre ladders, stepladders and specialist access products for industrial use. They are also proud to supply telecom and gas utilities, chemical, oil, rail, aviation, construction and similar industries worldwide.
Bratts work closely with the HSE and are therefore able to advise on ladder and stepladder use within the new "Working at Height Law" which came into force in 2005.
Requirements
Ensuring that Staff take the correct numbers of holidays whilst avoiding key-staff ‘holiday clashes’ was one of the main reasons that Bratts approached timeware to supply an updated solution. The company had been using a ‘timestart’ system for almost ten years but
this older product lacked the absence management features required by modern business. The ability to track employee training levels including storing scanned images of certification was another requirement as Bratts treat employee training very seriously. Finally, enabling several people within Bratts management team to access information simultaneously was also a strong requirement.
Solution
Once again, the timeware customer care team organised a full timestart conversion to timeware Professional 2013. The solution consisted of both a hardware and software upgrade and provided the client with a dynamic SQL based workforce management solution that ‘ticked all the boxes’. The conversion was completed over one day and included basic training. Customer care arranged follow-up calls each day over a ten day period to ensure that there were ‘no operation problems’ and that the new system continues to run smoothly.
