Mike Coope, Harry Archer and Liz discussing SLA3 annual upgrades.

This is the third article in a series called ‘who’s who’, giving the brief background story behind ‘front-line’ members of timeware® staff.

In this issue we introduce Liz Broadhurst. If you have ever dealt with timeware®, It’s extremely likely that you will have spoken to Liz.

Liz is the timeware® office manager and a member of the projects team that plan and co-ordinate all new projects and major upgrades from initial demonstration, organising site surveys, pre installations and each phase through to post installations.

Originally from Moston in Manchester, Liz joined the company in the customer care department working 10 hours per week in August 2009, (just as the UK entered the great recession!). Over the following years her working hours grew as did her responsibilities.

Liz started her life of employment with a Saturday job at a local Chelsea Girl clothes shop in the early 90’s. She’s waitressed at a Rochdale restaurant and helped to run a sandwich shop called ‘Soupa Sandwhich’. Liz’s first contact with timeware® was when she worked at GNG Foam Converters in Littleborough. GNG had been a timeware® customer since 1998 and Liz used data prepared by the system to produce their weekly payroll.

Working full time in the projects team alongside Mike Coope can be a demanding job! Although Liz does not have a technical background, her organisational skills are second to none and her involvement in project planning is invaluable. With almost ten years timeware® experience under her belt, she has a phenomenal depth of knowledge of all of the larger installations.

With a customer base including clients that have been using timeware® for over twenty years, upgrade projects can often be as complex as new installs. The introduction of the Suprema product range means that most upgrades involve moving to biometric technology and this in turn adds an additional level of planning to the project. Liz’s team is responsible for planning the bio-enrolment phase, pre-installation meetings, customisation meetings, the system install and finally, the post installation meeting.

It would be safe to say that Liz has an extremely busy role within timeware®.

Liz is married to Richard with two children and a taste for Chardonnay!
